The Viborg Development Foundation is a non-profit orginazition created to attract and distribute charitable fund for the benefit of the Viborg area. In essence the Viborg Community Foundation will servae as a community savings account whose proceeds will be available to ensure future development in the Viborg area. The fund gathered by the Foundation will never be used. ONly the interest will be available for distribution, thus ensureing a lasting legacy. The initial goal of the Foundation is to raise $75,000. This ammount will then have an additional $25,000 donated to it by the South Dakota Development Foundation. The amount of interest available for disbursment will graw as the fund grows allowing the Foundation to focus it's giving on areas that it wishes to see improved.
